DJ Squintz

12am - 6am

DJ Squintz. Appropriately named for the look in his eye, the more important thing is his ear for music. Being a DJ comes in handy when doing production and imaging, and having his ear to the street contributes to bringing that sound to the station. Having showcased his mixing talents in major markets such as San Jose, San Francisco, Portland, and even Las Vegas, DJ Squintz brings a well-traveled and universal appeal of music wherever he goes. “But when it’s all said and done, I’m hella Cali. Obviously, I just said hella.”

Between being on-air, mixing, and booking private events you may catch him any given night taking in a Kings game or at your favorite local restaurant.

“I’m definitely a foodie and we know Sac has some good spots.  I’ll admit I’m a sucker for sushi and Korean BBQ, but I’ll grub on anything that doesn’t have onions.”

After holding residencies at premiere clubs from the Valley to the Bay, he now mixes it up each weekend for the station he grew up listening to on Club 102 and cracks the mic each weekday 12am - 6am.

“I have spun for artists like Frankie J and Baby Bash, Jeremih and Nef The Pharoah, from Goapele to E-40, but I gotta say that mixing for all the loyal listeners in Sacramento that ride with 102.5 is one of the best blessings I could have as a DJ.”

Favorite quote: “Starve the ego, feed the soul.” –DJ A.M.
