Sacramento State announced they are planning to move their commencement ceremony online for the class of 2020.
The decision comes amid the Coronavirus pandemic as a way to help aid social distancing.
In a tweet, the university explained they are planning to honor both the class of 2020 and 2021 in a ceremony at the Golden 1 Center next May.
We know that a virtual celebration is not the same and that this outcome is not desirable for our graduates and their families, but we believe that we have no other realistic choice.
