Avengers assemble! Disneyland reveals opening date of new Avengers Campus

April 9, 2021

Marvel's Avengers are back... sort of.

Disney has announced their new massive Avengers Campus will open in June at Disney California Adventure Park in Anaheim, Calif.

The new attraction will open June 4. Disneyland and Disney California Adventure Park will reopen April 30 after being shuttered more than a year due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

"Avengers Campus is comprised of several heroic locations, each hosted by a different Avenger to share their unique powers, technology and knowledge with recruits," the Disney Parks blog wrote Thursday.

There will be Web Slingers: A Spiderman Adventure attraction which Disney writes on its website: "Embark on an action-packed adventure alongside the amazing Spider-Man! When Peter Parker’s helpful but otherwise buggy Spider-Bots get stuck in replication mode and escape from a WEB Workshop, Spider-Man must stop the rampaging robots before they wreak total techno-havoc across Avengers Campus. Problem is, they’re rapidly leveling up and becoming tough to beat!"

Another ride focuses on the "Guardians of the Galaxy" and is called Guardians of the Galaxy - Mission: BREAKOUT where you can "join Rocket on a thrilling mission to rescue the Guardians of the Galaxy from the Collector’s fortress." The attraction opened in 2017, according to the Disney Parks blog.

You can also explore the mysteries of the multiverse with Doctor Strange in Sanctum, which is coming soon. And then of course, there is the Avengers Headquarters - also coming soon.

There were also be new food options like the Pym Test Kitchen.
